They snapped up pre-auction the home of Mercury Capital’s Clark Perkins and his wife Marguerite who wanted $10 million, but fell short with their contemporary looking 2007 home.
Built by Peter Dunkley, it last sold at $8.1 million in 2007.
The Perkins family have spent around $30 million on a waterfront mansion, Loch Maree at Vaucluse which was bought at $32 million from the cosmetic surgeon hotelier Jerry Schwartz.
